The meeting chaired by Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, important decisions related to free treatment of domestic workers and public in social security hospitals

Lahore, July 10, 2023 (PPI-OT): In a meeting held at the Chief Minister’s Office under the chairmanship of caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi, important decisions were taken regarding the free treatment of domestic workers and the public in social security hospitals and free treatment of the public in emergency of social security hospitals was approved, while the domestic workers A principled decision was made to provide free treatment in social security hospitals. Punjab government will pay the expenses of treatment of domestic workers in social security hospitals, while domestic workers will also be able to get treatment on health card. In case of expenses exceeding the prescribed limit of health card, payment will be made by Punjab government.

In the meeting, it was decided to give a grant of 200 million rupees to the Punjab Employees Social Security Institution to ensure the treatment of domestic workers. Digital cards will be issued to the patients of social security hospitals on the instructions of caretaker chief minister Mohsin Naqvi. Provincial Ministers Dr Javed Akram, Aamir Mir, Mansoor Qadir, Secretaries Health, Finance, Labour, Information, Commissioner PCI and related officials attended the meeting while Provincial Minister Primary and Secondary Health Care Dr Jamal Nasir attended the meeting through video link.
