Islamabad, June 22, 2015 (PPI-OT): Ambassador Farukh Amil with the trade team visited Mizuno Corporation to meet with Mr. Masaharu Kato, Representative Director and the top Executives of the company to apprise them about the potential of sports goods production in Pakistan.
He invited them to visit Sialkot in particular where they could find world-class sports products plus a unique and long established entrepreneurship of the people of the area. He explained that the skilled workers from Sialkot could adopt Japanese technology to produce Japanese products. The Ambassador stressed that Pakistan can be the best sourcing market for the company.
Mr. Kato said that the company was looking for different sourcing markets for sports goods and sportswear and Pakistan could be one of the future choices. He promised to send his representatives to Pakistan to study the market potential because his company would be interested in procuring sports wears and leather foot-wear, says a press release received here today form Osaka.
After the meeting, Ambassador also visited the Mizuno Sportology Gallery where he was briefed about the Mizuno technology and the registered patents of the company. The Mizuno Group, comprising Mizuno Corporation and its 13 subsidiaries with paid up capital of almost US$250 million, is primarily producing, golf and other sporting equipment, sportswear and footwear. The Group also operates sports facilities, including golf and soccer schools.
