Tragic Discovery of Two Minors’ Bodies in Srinagar River

Srinagar: In a distressing incident, the bodies of two young children, identified as 7-year-old Sharika and 6-year-old Mangla, were discovered in the Doodh Ganga River in the Sanatnagar area of Srinagar, in the region known as Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the minors, originally from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, had been reported missing since October 12, 2024. Their bodies were found the following evening, prompting immediate police action. Authorities have since transported the bodies to the Police Hospital in Srinagar to conduct post-mortem examinations aimed at ascertaining the cause of death.

Local police have initiated a thorough investigation to piece together the circumstances surrounding the children’s disappearance and subsequent death. Details remain limited, and the community awaits further updates as officials continue their inquiries into this tragic event.
