Tragic Road Accident Claims Lives of Two Teachers in Shopian

Srinagar: Two teachers lost their lives in a road mishap in the Shopian district of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir today.

According to Kashmir Media Service announcement issued on 16 August 2024, the accident occurred at Largam, Shopian, involving a collision between a vehicle and a motorcyclist. Riyaz Ahmad Dar from Kundalan, Shopian, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, Sajad Ahmad Shah from New Colony Largam, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to SKIMS, Soura, for urgent medical care.

Tragically, Sajad Ahmad Shah succumbed to his injuries en route to the hospital.

Local police have initiated an investigation into the incident, seeking to determine the cause of the accident and any potential culpability.
