Tri-Pack Films Limited Elects New Directors at Extraordinary General Meeting in Karachi

KARACHI: Tri-Pack Films Limited conducted an Extraordinary General Meeting on 04 October 2024 attended both in person in Karachi and virtually via Zoom, where significant corporate decisions were ratified by the shareholders.

The meeting began with the approval of the minutes from the Annual General Meeting held on 23 April 2024. This initial resolution affirmed the previous meeting’s proceedings and set the stage for subsequent agenda items.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), a notable resolution at today’s meeting was the election of seven directors. The candidates, all of whom had consented to act, were elected in accordance with Section 159 of the Companies Act, 2017, for a three-year term commencing today. This election aligns with corporate governance requirements ensuring a blend of continuity and new perspectives on the board.

The directors elected are Ms. Nermeen Towfiq Chinoy and Mr. Aamir Hussain Shirazi, serving as independent directors. The remaining five positions were filled by Mr. Asghar Abbas, Syed Babar Ali, Syed Hyder Ali, Mr. Khurram Raza Bakhtayari, and Mr. Asif Qadir. These individuals collectively bring a diverse range of expertise and insights, vital for steering the company forward in the competitive film industry market.
