Jammu: In separate incidents in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, authorities have recovered the bodies of a man and a woman in the Udhampur and Ganderbal districts, respectively. These cases add to the series of unfortunate events reported in the region, including a fatal car accident on Mughal Road.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the man, identified as 25-year-old Manzoor Ahmed, was found deceased in the Ujj rivulet in the Dudu Basantgarh area of Udhampur district. Ahmed had reportedly drowned under circumstances that are still being investigated. In a different incident, the body of an unidentified woman was discovered floating in a nallah in the Wayil area of Ganderbal district. Local residents alerted the police, who retrieved the body and transported it to a nearby hospital for medical examination and efforts to establish her identity.
Further compounding the tragic events in the region, a fatal traffic accident was reported on Mughal Road near Shikaar Gah. A vehicle overturned after being struck by a stone, resulting in the death of the driver, Salim Ahmed, from Radio Station Mohalla in Poonch. He was transported to a hospital following the accident but later succumbed to his injuries.
These incidents have stirred concerns among local communities and authorities, prompting further investigations and calls for improved safety measures in the region.
