Two Indian Soldiers Killed in Jammu Landmine Blast

Jammu: At least two Indian soldiers, including an officer, lost their lives, and another was critically injured in a landmine explosion near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Jammu district of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir.

According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, the incident occurred when an improvised explosive device (IED), suspected to have been planted by Kashmiri freedom fighters, detonated during an Indian army patrol in the Akhnoor sector of the district on Tuesday.

An Indian army spokesperson confirmed on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the patrol in the Laleeli area of Akhnoor sector was struck by the landmine. This attack resulted in the deaths of two soldiers and left one critically injured. The spokesperson added that the army has cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation.
