Two Indian troops injured in shootout in Manipur

Kolkata, May 14, 2023 (PPI-OT): Two Indian troops were injured in an attack in disturbed state Manipur. Two troops of Assam Rifles were injured when the attackers opened fire at an Indian Army and Assam Rifles patrolling team in Churachandpur of Manipur.

On Thursday, an Indian Army commando was shot dead by a few unknown assailants and five commandos were injured in the Bishnupur district of Manipur. On Wednesday, in Churachandpur district unknown assailants had opened fire on Assam Rifles soldiers, injuring one of them. The incidents are specifically taking place in Churachandpur and Bishnupur districts of the state.
