U.S. Ambassador Olson visits Peshawar

Peshawar, October 31, 2013 (PPI-OT): U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan, Richard G. Olson, was in Peshawar on October 29 for meetings with Pakistani officials. While here, Ambassador Olson discussed many areas in which the United States and Pakistan cooperate to strengthen the economic, energy, educational, and security sectors throughout the country, including numerous projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He also discussed trade, economic development, and security issues with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engineer Shaukatullah Khan, and the Commander of the 11th Corps Lieutenant General Khalid Rabbani. At the 11th Corps Headquarters, Ambassador Olson participated in a wreath-laying ceremony to honour the Pakistani soldiers who have been killed by terrorists while serving their country.
