Punjab Police Secures Extradition of Two High-Profile Criminals from Saudi Arabia

Lahore, The Punjab Police, under the guidance of Inspector General Dr. Usman Anwar, has successfully extradited two high-profile criminals from Saudi Arabia, intensifying efforts to apprehend A category fugitives and proclaimed offenders residing abroad. The arrests are part of a broader initiative to tackle serious crimes, with both individuals wanted for murder charges in separate incidents.

According to Punjab Police, Abdul Majeed, arrested in connection with a double murder case in Sialkot dating back eight years, was apprehended with the assistance of Saudi authorities following a red notice from Interpol. Similarly, Jahan Khan, involved in a murder in Dera Ghazi Khan in 2022, was captured at Lahore Airport. These arrests bring the total number of proclaimed offenders apprehended from abroad this year to 35.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar commended the teams responsible for these operations and directed further actions to ensure that all legal proceedings are expedited so that justice may be served promptly. He also emphasized the need to intensify efforts to capture other dangerous fugitives wanted for serious offenses.
