Bradford, June 01, 2023 (PPI-OT): Member of British Parliament (MP) and Shadow Minister, Naz Shah, has condemned the Indian government for trying to use judiciary to sentence the Kashmiri leader Muhammad Yasin Malik to death. Naz Shah MP was speaking during a special meeting hosted by the PPP-UK Information Secretary Zahid Mughal. Presided over by Zahid Mughal, the meeting was attended among others by former advisor to AJK Prime Minister, Raja Shaukat Khaliq Advocate; patron Jammu and Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International (JKSDMI), Sardar Abdur Rahman Khan; JKSDMI founder Chairman Raja Najabat Hussain; Chairperson JKSDMI Greater Manchester, Rubina Khan; Chairperson Cheshire, Ms Neena Khan Raja; Former Lord Mayor of Bradford, Raja Ghazanfer Khaliq; PPP-UK Vice President, Sajid Qureshi; Conservative Muslim Forum North West Chairperson, Samina Khan; Conservative Councillor Dewsbury, Ms Itrat Ali; Yorkshire Adbi Forum, Ms Ghazal Ansari; Khazeena Shehr-o-Adab, Naghmana Kanwal Sheikh, Imtiaz Ahmad Sheikh, Imran Ali, Former Councillor Mehboob Ahmad, Conservative Party representative Dr Basit, Labour Councillor Ibrar Hussain Bradford, Shamaila Khanum and Samia Jabran.
Naz Shah assured the Kashmiris that she will raise this issue in the UK Parliament next week and try to get support from the friends of Kashmir and All Party Parliamentary Group on Kashmir in the Parliament. She also condemned the human right violations being perpetrated by Indian troops in IIOJK and asked the British government to take some firm actions to protect the rights of Kashmiri leaders illegally detained in Indian jails. Naz Shah MP also thanked Raja Najabat Hussain and his whole team for raising the voice of suffering people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir regularly in Bradford and in the British Parliament.
Raja Najabat Hussain on the occasion said his organisation is approaching all the like-minded individuals and organisations in the UK to organise lobby programme in the British Parliament as well as in different cities of Britain in next few days. He assured the people of IIOJK and families of political prisoners that they will campaign vigorously for their release and inform the international community regarding the situation in the occupied territory created by the Indian government. Raja Najabat Hussain thanked Zahid Mughal and all the participants for their time and support for the Kashmir cause and team of JKSDMI.
Host Zahid Mughal thanked Naz Shah MP for sparring the time and her continued support to the Kashmir cause. He also announced his full support for Raja Najabat Hussain and team of JKSDMI for their continued work on the Kashmir dispute in the UK and Europe. All other participants promised to organize the meetings for the Kashmir campaign in their respective cities to raise the plight of IIOJK people, particularly the Kashmiri detainees, with their MPs and Councillors.
