UN Chief Calls for Ending Crises in Gaza, Sudan, and Ukraine

New york: The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called for ending crises in Gaza, Sudan, and Ukraine. Addressing the opening session of the UN General Assembly in New York, he urged a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, an increase of humanitarian aid into the territory, and for the release of all hostages, amid the intensification of famine and the killing of Palestinian people.

According to Radio Pakistan, Guterres moved on to discuss other conflicts, urging for a “lasting ceasefire” and peace in Ukraine. He emphasized the need for reforms in the international finance system to better address global challenges.

The UN Secretary-General also called for greater participation of developing countries in terms of their composition and decision-making within the international community.
