UN Chief Expresses Sorrow Over Flash Floods in Pakistan

Islamabad: UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has expressed deep sorrow at the tragic loss of lives following devastating flash floods in Pakistan. A statement issued by his spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said the Secretary-General stands in solidarity with those affected by this disaster.

According to Radio Pakistan, the statement also mentioned that the world body stands ready to provide assistance should it be requested. The commitment highlights the UN’s readiness to support relief efforts in response to the severe flooding that has impacted numerous regions within Pakistan.
