Unity Foods Expands Subsidiary Network with New Investments

Karachi: Unity Foods Limited has announced substantial investments to expand its subsidiary network, involving significant share subscriptions in two private companies, as part of its strategic business expansion. This announcement was made in compliance with the Securities Act, 2015, and the rules of the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited.

The company detailed a financial outlay of Rs. 500.00 million for acquiring 50,000,000 ordinary shares at Rs. 10 each in Unity Technologies (Private) Limited, effectively making it a subsidiary. This investment underscores Unity Foods’ aim to broaden its technological capabilities and market reach.

Furthermore, Unity Technologies has itself invested Rs. 100.00 million for 10,000,000 ordinary shares at Rs. 10 each in Sunridge Mart (Private) Limited. This transaction positions Sunridge Mart as a new subsidiary under Unity Technologies, enhancing the operational scope of Unity Foods in the retail sector.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these moves are part of Unity Foods’ strategy to diversify its business interests and strengthen its presence in both technology and retail markets. The investments are expected to foster synergies among the subsidiaries, promoting integrated growth and innovation across the company’s operations.

Unity Foods has notified TRE Certificate holders on the exchange, ensuring full transparency in line with regulatory requirements. This development marks a significant expansion of Unity Foods’ portfolio, reflecting its ongoing commitment to growth and shareholder value enhancement.
