UP tense after Hindu man shared blasphemous social media post

Shahjahanpur, May 17, 2023 (PPI-OT): Situation in Indian state of Uttar Pradesh is tense after a Hindu extremist shared a social media post on Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in Shahjahanpur district.

Superintendent of Police S. Anand said that one Varun Dhawan, a resident of Dabhaura village under Tilhar Police Station, had shared a post related to the Prophet PBUH on his social media account. Hundreds of people gathered out the Tilhar Police Station and demanded the arrest of the Hindu man.
