US urges for Pak-India dialogue process

Washington, October 08, 2014 (PPI-OT): The United States has urged both Pakistan and India to resume their dialogue process in order to deescalate tension. Expressing concern over the situation of the Line of Control, US State Department spokesperson, Jen Psaki, in her daily press briefing at Washington, DC said, “We are concerned about any violence along the line of control. We continue to encourage the governments of India and Pakistan to engage in further dialogue to address these issues,” she said.

She further said that “Our policy on Kashmir has not changed. We still believe that the pace, scope, and character of India and Pakistan’s dialogue on Kashmir is for those two countries to determine.”

Meanwhile, in Indian occupied Kashmir, senior Hurriyet leaders, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Zafar Akbar Bhat, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Zamrooda Habib, Yasmeen Raja and Fareeda Behanji in their statements while welcoming the emphasis by the US on the need of the dialogue between Pakistan and India urged upon the United States to impress upon India to give up its intransigent attitude.
