Uzbekistan Announces Direct Flights to Karachi to Boost Bilateral Relations

Karachi: Uzbekistan has announced plans to launch direct flights to Karachi this year, aiming to strengthen bilateral ties with Pakistan. This development was shared by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, Alisher Tukhtaev, during his visit to Karachi.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Ambassador emphasized the recent implementation of a soft visa regime for Pakistani citizens in September 2023, which is expected to facilitate business and tourist travel between the two countries.

Highlighting the trade potential, the Ambassador noted that the mutual trade volume between Uzbekistan and Pakistan reached 387 million dollars last year. He also praised the success of the ‘Made in Pakistan’ single-country exhibition held in Tashkent last June, indicating strong interest in further enhancing economic collaboration.
