Very High Flood Risk Imminent in Sutlej, Ravi, and Chenab Rivers

Lahore: The Federal Flood Commission has announced a fresh wave of exceptionally high flood is expected to commence in the rivers Sutlej, Beas, Ravi, and Chenab within the next 72 hours.

According to Radio Pakistan, the FFC report indicates that very high to exceptionally high water flows are anticipated in the rivers Sutlej, Ravi, and Chenab, as well as the associated nullahs of the Ravi and Chenab rivers, from today through Thursday. This situation poses a significant risk of urban flooding in the Lahore, Gujranwala, and Gujrat Divisions during this period.

Further reports suggest that the river Sutlej at Ganda Singh Wala will experience continued exceptionally high flood levels, necessitating vigilance and preparedness in the affected regions.
