Visit to Civil Aviation Authority Headquarters by Capt Shujaat Azeem

Karachi, February 04, 2014 (PPI-OT): Capt. Shujaat Azeem, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Aviation has presided over a meeting at the Headquarters CAA on 4th February, 2014. The meeting was attended by Mr. Muhammad Ali Gardezi, Secretary Aviation, Air Marshal (retd) Muhammad Yousaf, Director General CAA and Air Vice Marshal Khawar Hussain, Deputy Director General CAA.

During the meeting, Special Assistant to PM on Aviation was apprised about the progress on various projects. The inconvenience caused to passengers due to diversion and cancellation of flights because of fog and low visibility at Lahore Airport was deliberated in detail.

Special Assistant to PM on Aviation instructed for installation of Instrument Landing System (ILS) Cat- IIIC at Lahore and New Islamabad Airport, which would enable the aircraft to land in zero visibility conditions.

In the end, Capt. Shujaat Azeem thanked the participants and said that he needs the support and whole hearted cooperation of all personnel of CAA to ensure that the targets set by the present Government for providing the best facilities to the travelling public are ensured.
