Islamabad, June 16, 2023 (PPI-OT): The Chinese leadership by giving the Palestinian delegation a warm welcome has made it clear that they are with all the oppressed people of the world no matter where they live. China has always supported the Kashmir cause and never accepted India’s claim of Jammu and Kashmir dispute being its internal matter. The Chinese side has made it clear time and again that the Kashmir dispute between India and Pakistan was left over from history and should be resolved as per the UN resolutions. Following the same policy, China recently boycotted a G20 meeting hosted by India in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, last month.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin told a media briefing in Beijing in response to a question that China firmly opposes holding any form of G20 meetings on disputed territory. “We will not attend such meetings,” he added. India hosted the G20 meeting in Srinagar, the summer capital of IIOJK, from May 22 to 24.
Ebrahim Hashem, former adviser to the chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office and former head of the strategy division of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, wrote on twitter that the warm welcome and announcing China-Palestine strategic partnership, by the Chinese government carries clear messages for various audiences. China-based strategist, consultant and scholar interested in the global economy, the world order, and Arab-China relations, Ebrahim Hashem said that to the Palestinians there is a message that the Chinese support their just cause.
“To Arabs: we are aligned with your vision for your region and support you on your core issues. To Muslims: we are allies despite the petty and futile attempts to portray us otherwise. To the world: we are on the side of justice. To Europe: you have been unfair to Palestinians and you owe them a lot for the tragedy you have created in Palestine. To the US administration: you aren’t qualified to be the only arbiter on Palestine. And to Zionists: we are not sure about your future,” he wrote on twitter.
