Waza seeks global intervention for resolution of Kashmir

Srinagar, July 16, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyet leader and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir People’s League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has expressed serious concern over the use of aggressive and repressive measures by the Indian authorities against peaceful and unarmed civilians and pro-freedom leadership in Jammu and Kashmir.

Waza in a statement while condemning the nocturnal raids and arresting of youth in Pulwama, Shopian and other areas of south Kashmir by the Indian forces and police personnel said that the pursuing the struggle for right to self-determination was Kashmiris’ birth right. He added that the authorities were hell-bent upon curbing and strangulating the genuine aspirations and political voice for the ongoing freedom struggle.

Waza also condemned the suicide bomb attack on an election rally in Mustang, Baluchistan (Pakistan) said those involved in the attack are beastly enemies of the entire humanity and Pakistan. The People’s League Chairman while thanking the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, for backing international probe into human rights violations in Kashmir said that time has come for the World Body to impress upon India for a free and fair plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir.c
