Weather Update: Hot and Dry Conditions Expected Across Balochistan with Isolated Thunderstorms

Quetta: The Regional Meteorological Center Balochistan has reported that the weather is set to remain predominantly hot and dry across most districts of Balochistan on Wednesday, with some areas likely to experience rain accompanied by wind and thunder.

According to Directorate General Public Relations – Govt of Balochistan, on Wednesday, districts such as Musa Khel, Barkhan, Kalat, Khuzdar, Hub, and Lasbela are expected to face thunderstorms. The forecast for Thursday indicates similar weather conditions, with hot and dry weather prevailing in most parts of the province. However, Hub and Lasbela might again witness rain with thunder. In terms of recent weather events, during the last 24 hours, Barkhan recorded rainfall of 10 mm, Loralai 7 mm, and Khuzdar 1 mm. The highest temperature recorded was in Sibi at a scorching 43 degrees Celsius. Other areas also saw high temperatures with Nokundi, Turbat, and Dalbandin reaching 40 degrees Celsius, Lasbela 38 degrees Celsius, and both Quetta and Gwadar at 34 degrees Celsius.

The consistent high temperatures across the province underscore the onset of a particularly warm period, with sporadic thunderstorms providing slight relief in some districts. Residents and local authorities are advised to stay informed about the weather updates and prepare accordingly for the hot and dry conditions.
