World community appealed to help in Kashmir settlement

Srinagar, January 18, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) has appealed to the international community to exert pressure on India to take steps for resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.The JKML in a statement issued in Srinagar demanded revocation of draconian laws including Armed Forces Special Powers Act, immediate halt to human rights violations by Indian troops in the occupied territory and demilitarization of Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, the JKML organized special prayers meetings at different places in the Kashmir Valley for the speedy recovery of its illegally detained Chairman, Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo, who is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Srinagar in police custody.
