World Mental Health Day Focuses on Access to Services in Crises

Islamabad: World Mental Health Day was observed on Friday to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health.

According to Radio Pakistan, the theme for this year is “Access to Services: Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies.” The focus is on ensuring that mental health services are accessible during times of crisis, highlighting the importance of integrating mental health care into emergency response efforts. The observance aims to address the challenges faced by individuals experiencing mental health issues during catastrophic events and emergencies, advocating for improved support systems and resources.
