According to Radio Pakistan, the day aims to raise awareness about the importance of patient safety, particularly focusing on the welfare of newborns and children. The initiative encourages healthcare providers and policymakers to commit to ensuring safe medical practices for this vulnerable population. By emphasizing the necessity of safeguarding children from the beginning, the observance seeks to foster a healthcare environment that prioritizes patient safety from the outset.
