Youm-e-Ashur Observed Across the Country with Solemnity

Lahore: Youm-e-Ashur, marking the tenth of Muharram-ul-Haram, was observed across the country today with solemnity to pay homage to the sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain Razi Allah ho Ta’ala Anho and his companions in Karbala. Mourning processions were conducted in cities and towns nationwide.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ulema and Zakireen highlighted the teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A) and various aspects of the Karbala tragedy during the processions. Alam, Taazia, and Zuljanah processions were also held to commemorate the martyrs of Karbala and their sacrifice for Islam.

Security arrangements were implemented to prevent any untoward incidents during the Muharram-ul-Haram observances.
