Islamabad, July 17, 2023 (PPI-OT): Parliamentary Delegation led by National Assembly Deputy Speaker Zahid Akram Durrani will participate in Parliamentary Forum on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in New York on Tuesday. According to the details, the delegation will participate in the forum to mark the mid-point in the fifteen-year run toward the Sustainable Development Goals.
The theme of the meeting is “The mid-point toward the SDGs: taking stock of parliamentary action.” The Forum will review the successes, failures and redirecting efforts accordingly. It is pertinent to mention that the meeting will highlight the critical need for parliaments to invest considerably more in their own institutional processes, present practical illustrations of parliamentary action, and propose innovative solutions to unlock sustainable development.
