11 outlaws arrested: huge cache of drug seized

Islamabad: Islamabad Police have arrested 11 persons from various areas of the city including three pick pockets and recovered 2.20 kilogram heroin, four kilogram opium, 2.250 kilogram hashish, two pistols, 10 wine bottles and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said.

SP (Saddar) constituted special team including Sub-Inspectors Ghulam Mustafa, Muneer Khan, Ameer Umar, ASIs Imran Javed and Zulfiqar Ahmed for effective patrolling in Golra and Tarnol police area which arrested six persons Faisal, Ali Zah, Zameen Khan, Safeer Ahmed, Muhammad Nabi and Israr for alleged involvement in drug peddling.

These special police teams recovered 2.20 kilogram heroin, four kilogram opium, 2.2250 kilogram hashish and ten wine bottles from their possession. Sabzi Manid police nabbed an accused Bilal for having 30 bore pistol while Shalimar police recovered 30 bore pistol and ten rounds from an accused Hyat Khan.

Sub-Inspector Sultan Mehmud from Industrial area police nabbed three pick pockets identified as Shehzad, Murad and Anjum and recovered stolen cash from them. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.

SSP Islamabad Malik Muhammad Yousuf has appreciated this performance and directed to further intensify efforts against anti-social elements.
