15 suspects and seven dacoits arrested during search operation

Islamabad: Islamabad police on Saturday arrested 15 suspects, seven dacoits and seven gamblers during search operation in various areas of the city and recovered six pistols, one dagger and stake money worth Rs. 51,000 from their possession, a police spokesman said.

On a tip off, Station House Officer of Aabpara police station Inspector Muhammad Hussain Lasi and his team raided at the hide out of dacoits in sector G-7/1 and arrested three dacoits Arslan, Kashif, Imran. One pistol, one dagger and rope was recovered from them and they confessed during the initial investigation for committing several dacoities.

Meanwhile, SHO Shehzad town police station Muhammad Yunus Gujar and police team arrested four dacoits identified as Nasrullah, Aziz Ullah, Badshah Khan, Nusrat Ullah. Police also recovered three 30 bore pistols and 14 rounds from them.

Shehzad town police also raided at gambling den and arrested seven gamblers besides recovering stake money worth Rs. 51,000 from them. Aabpara police also nabbed 25 beggars and shifted 23 children to Child Protection Centre while eight beggars were arrested by Shehzad town police team.

Other police stations of Islamabad has also expedited campaign against beggars following directions of SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan and arrested overall 18 beggars from various areas of the city.

Islamabad police also nabbed 15 suspects during last 24 hours while two outlaws were also arrested in possession of two 30 bore pistol.

IGP Islamabad and SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan have appreciated this performance and directed to intensify campaign against anti-social elements.
