National Assembly Speaker Congratulates the People on Independence Day

Islamabad: Dr. Fehmida Mirza, Speaker National Assembly has said that an independent Pakistan was a special blessing from Allah and now it is the responsibility of the people of this country to make it strong and prosperous. She said this in her message on the occasion of 65th Independence Day Anniversary of Pakistan.

While congratulating the Nation on this auspicious occasion the Madam Speaker said that this day reminds us all the sacrifices and endeavours of the Muslims of the subcontinent to achieve independence. “While celebrating the Independence Day, it is incumbent upon us to revive the spirit of national unity and follow the Quaid’s guiding principles of Unity, Faith and discipline “She added. “ Let us make a firm resolve today to make all-out efforts to achieve the objectives of creation of Pakistan and also to make Pakistan a strong and a prosperous democratic country where will of the people, equality, justice and brotherhood reign supreme “she said.

Madam Speaker said that democracy was the best solution to all our problems, therefore, on this auspicious occasion let us resolve to work hard to strengthen democracy in Pakistan and follow the sayings of the father of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. She said that democracy in Pakistan was at work and it is responsibility of every citizen to work for the strengthening the democratic institutions in the country.
