17th Chief of the Naval Staff Amateur Golf Cup 2024 Commences at Margalla Greens

Islamabad: The 17th Chief of the Naval Staff Amateur Golf Cup 2024 inaugurated with an opening ceremony and media briefing at the Margalla Greens Golf Club in Islamabad. Commodore Saqib Ilyas, Patron of Pakistan Navy Golf (North), addressed the media, highlighting the event’s organization across multiple categories.

According to Pakistan Navy, the tournament will feature four categories: Amateurs, Seniors, Ladies, and Juniors. Additionally, an invitational match for guests and sponsors is scheduled. The Chief of the Naval Staff Amateur Golf Cup has been a significant fixture on the national golf circuit since its inception in 2007, serving as a platform for healthy competition and promoting Pakistan’s positive image internationally. Last year, approximately 300 golfers from across the nation participated, with Irtaza Hussain of MGGC defending his title. The consistent organization of this event underscores the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to fostering golf at both national and international levels.

The ceremony was attended by golfers, sponsors, and media representatives.
