17th Master Trainers Faculty Development Programme Begins at Higher Education Commission

Islamabad: The 17th Master Trainers Faculty Professional Development Programme (MT-FPDP) began at Higher Education Commission (HEC) Secretariat. The programme, which will finish on February 25, 2012, is being attended by 27 faculty members from 16 public sector universities from across Pakistan.

Dr. Khawaja Azam Ali, Managing Director, Quality Assurance Agency, HEC was the chief guest in the opening ceremony. The main objective of the training is to enhance and enrich the teaching abilities of teachers to ensure that quality education is imparted to the students.

The programme, catering to participants of both pure and social sciences, is specifically designed for in-service teachers and will cover 11 core modules and additional sessions on different important social topics. Recreational and study trips will also be arranged to different historic places.

So far, 469 faculty members of the higher education institutions have benefitted from MT-FPDP in 16 batches.
