Bank Al Habib Launches Cashback Rewards on Grocery Purchases for Debit Card Users

Karachi, Bank Al Habib has introduced a new cashback reward program for its Visa debit cardholders, offering significant savings on grocery purchases throughout the month. The program is designed to encourage more frequent use of Bank Al Habib’s Visa debit cards at point of sale terminals in grocery stores.

According to Bank Al Habib Limited, the cashback rewards will be available from May 31, 2024, until June 30, 2024. The program sets out specific criteria for cashback eligibility: Visa Platinum cardholders must complete at least three transactions totaling a minimum of 10,000 PKR to earn 15% cashback, with a cap of 1,500 PKR. Visa Gold and Silver cardholders are also required to make three transactions but need only spend a total of 5,000 PKR to receive 10% cashback, capped at 500 PKR.

The offer is limited to the first 1,000 Visa Platinum customers and the first 5,000 Visa Gold and Silver customers who meet the transaction requirements during the campaign period. Additionally, only transactions made at designated leading grocery stores will qualify for the cashback, and the rewards will be credited directly into the customers’ Bank Al Habib accounts after the campaign concludes.

This cashback initiative is part of Bank Al Habib’s broader strategy to increase digital payment usage among its customers, particularly those who have not used their debit cards on point of sale systems since February 1, 2024. Eligible cardholders can only receive one cashback reward during the campaign period, focusing the benefits on a broader range of customers.
