18th Amendment revives 1973 Constitution in its original shape: NA Speaker

Islamabad, June 20, 2023 (PPI-OT): Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that the 18th Amendment played a vital role to revive the 1973 Constitution in its original shape. Addressing the inauguration ceremony of “Bagh-e-Dastoor” at Parliament House in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said the 1973 Constitution protects the rights of citizens irrespective of caste, color and creed with the major focus on the unity of all the units.

The Speaker asked the officials concerned of the Capital Development Authority to complete the project of “Bagh-e-Dastoor” within stipulated time as this piece of land will highlight the meritorious services of those lawmakers who played their role in the drafting of 1973 constitution.

Raja Pervez Ashraf said we will hand over the 1973 Constitution to new generation with this advice to remain stick to it as our safety lies in the implementing this constitution.
