Karachi, September 06, 2016 (PPI-OT): On the directives of Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation Mukesh Kumar Chawla a drive against drug peddlers is going on. During the on going launch a team of Excise and Taxation officers Siraj Ahmed and Hussain Bux Larik, on a tip, searched a Toyota Crown bearing No Plate IDK 2219 at Kambu Shaheed Check Post on Punjab Sindh boarder and recovered 20 kilo gram charas hidden in bonnet and arrested an accused Adnan Khan resident of Nausheroferoze and lodged a case against him.
Investigations are underway. Meanwhile the minister Excise and Taxation Mukesh Kumar Chawla, while appreciating the excise team, has directed them to ensure no drugs to be transported to Sindh and catch these culprits at the board. He expressed his commitment to make Sindh a free province from the curse of drugs.
