3rd south Asia-Sichuan Business Promotion Seminar

Islamabad, June 07, 2012 (PPI-OT): The 3rd South Asia-Sichuan Business promotion Seminar under the theme “Reach Consensus and Take Golden Opportunities —-Industrial Transfer and Trade Investment” will begin today(the 8th June 2012) in the Chengdu city of Sichuan Province of the Peoples’ Republic of China.

Mr. Qu Mu Shi Ha, Vice Governor of the provincial Government of Sichuan will inaugurate the seminar, which aims at promoting economic cooperation between Sichuan province and South Asian countries.

On behalf of South Asian Business Community, Mr. Tariq Sayeed, former President of SAARC CCI and FPCCI will address the inaugural session along with Mr. Li Gang, President CCPIT Sichuan Council and Mr. Yu Xiaodong, Deputy Secretary General of CCPIT.

The session will also be addressed by Mr. Annisul Huq, immediate former President of SAARC CCI and former President of FBCCI ( Bangladesh), Mr. Kosala Wikramanayake, Vice President of SAARC CCI and former President FCCISL (Sri Lanka) and Mr. Fazal Kader Sherani, President of FPCCI ( Pakistan ) along with Presidents of national chambers of Commerce Afghanistan, Nepal and International Business Council.

The session will be moderated by Muhammad Iqbal Tabish, Secretray General SAARC CCI and member advisory Borad of the UNESCAP Businesss Forum. The Present trade volume between sichuan Province and South Asian countries is estimated $ 2.0 billion, which is in favour of Sichuan by $ 1.8 billion. The forum will be followed by South Asian Commodity Fair, which provided South Asian countries an ample opportunity to display their products.
