Islamabad, October 16, 2015 (PPI-OT): Minister of State, Capital Administration and Development Division, Barrister Usman Ibrahim, held a meeting with Ms. Aliya Aga President, LAGAN and Association of Parents on 16th October, 2015 in his office. Agenda of the meeting was to discuss implementation status of notification of 23rd September, 2015 issued on the directions of Prime Minister, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif directing Private Education Institutions not to increase any fee in 2015.
Minister of State CA and DD, informed the President, Association of Parents that on the directions of Prime Minister a “Special Cell” has been constituted in Private Education Intuitions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) to ensure compliance of instructions of Prime Minister in letter and spirit. In this regard, on daily basis, Private Education Institutions functioning within territorial jurisdiction of ICT, are submitting in writing compliance to PEIRA that they are not increasing any fee /charges/funds during 2015.
President, Association of Parents appreciated the endeavours of Minister of State CA and DD, Barrister Usman Ibrahim for striving hard to address the genuine concerns of Parents and implementation of Notification of 23rd September, 2015.
Minister of State CA and DD, also shared that CA and D Division, is holding a day long consultative workshop on “Fee determination and quality of Education Parameters on 20th October, 2015. He added that the purpose of the workshop is to consolidate the public opinion and more specifically the parents so that CA and D Division can develop comprehensives Parameters for quality of Education and fee determination in ICT.
