Administrator Karachi inaugurates Jashn-E-Baharan in safari park

Karachi: Administrator KMC Muhammad Hussain has said that in order to highlight the very old culture and customs of Karachi various programs of “Hamara Karachi” Festival were held in the city which would bring the correct image of the city before the people while work on many development projects aimed at making Karachi a developed city was underway.

He expressed these views on the inauguration of 3 day Jashn-e-Baharan in connection with the Hamara Karachi Festival in Safari Park. He was accompanied by Senior Director Culture, Sports and Recreation Muhammad Rehan Khan and Director Safari Park Salman Shamsi on this occasion.

Administrator Karachi said Jashn-e-Baharan is being celebrated as a family gala and all family members can participate in it. Talking to media representatives he said the spring season had its own flavour, vibrancy and colourfulness and its arrival just gives pleasure to people.

He said the poets have always used the spring season as their topic in poetry and we have countless examples of this in urdu literature. Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed said KMC besides providing civic facilities to citizens of Karachi also contributing fully in the educational, literary, cultural and social activities held in the city.

Senior Director Culture and Sports Muhammad Rehan Khan said various programs had been planned for Jashn-e-Barahan 2012 which would present the culture and traditions of city of Karachi in a befitting manner. Visitors with their family would have free entry during Jashn-e-Baharn in Safari Park.
