Advisor to Chief Minister inspects Khyber Teaching Hospital

Peshawar: Syed Masoom Shah, Advisor to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa visited Khyber Teaching Hospital Peshawar and inspects its several departments. He was briefed by the Nephrologists Prof. Dr. Nisar Anwar regarding the newly installed 10 Dialysis machines donated by the Turkish Government.

The Advisor announced LCD TVs for the entertainment of Dialysis patients. He also visited Orthopaedic Unit, Labour Room and Gynae Department.. Dr. Jamila Javed Shah briefed him regarding Hepatitis B and C patients.

The Advisor announced a separate Labour Room for Hepatitis patients which will be funded by the Chief Minister in near future. The Cath Lab in Cardiology Department will also be established for the patients of Cardiac disease.

He also appreciated the newly established Pharmacy Shop for the benefit of patients where standardized drugs are being provided on 20% to 25% discount rates. Dr. Umar Ayub thanked the Advisor to Chief Minister for taking keen interest and visiting the hospital on the directives of Chief Minister for improvement of services in KTH.
