After Egypt, Malaysia too rejects Tejas aircraft purchase

Islamabad, June 20, 2023 (PPI-OT): After Egypt, now Malaysia, too, has rejected the purchase of Indian aircraft, dealing a blow to New Delhi’s defense manufacturing industry. Malaysia cited concerns over the Teja aircraft’s durability and availability, leading to program delays. Defense experts advised India to reassess its defense manufacturing strategy and address buyer concerns to regain competitiveness.
