Aged Hurriyat leader Tari’s summoning to court denounced

Srinagar, June 01, 2023 (PPI-OT): APHC leader and General Secretary of the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Muhammad Abdullah Tari appeared before a court in Srinagar in a false case, today. The Democratic Freedom Party, a constituent of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the summoning of Muhammad Abdullah Tari to the court and said that the Hindutva regime could not shake the freedom spirit of the Hurriyat leaders through such nefarious tactics.

He said that the purpose of summoning an aged leader to the court in a false case is an attempt to harass him for his commitment to the cause of freedom. The spokesman said that Kashmiris are struggling for their birth right, right to self-determination granted to them by the United Nations. He appealed to the international community to take notice of Indian atrocities in the occupied territory and put pressure on it to resolve the Kashmir dispute, once and for all.

Meanwhile, Umar Mughal, spokesperson for Jammu and Kashmir Peer Panjal Freedom Movement, in a statement in Jammu, strongly condemned the growing Indian state terrorism in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and said that Indian Army is subjecting the Kashmiri people to brutal torture during the so-called search operations. He strongly condemned the arrest of Kashmiri youth Farooq and his two brothers in Kadi Karmara area of Poonch district. He also strongly condemned the opening of liquor shops in Mender area of Poonch stating that the people of the area are protesting against this heinous act.
