Allama Iqbal Open University has started taking necessary steps for upgrading its academic facilities in formerly Federally Administrated Tribal Areas, by opening up its office at Wanna, in South Wazirstan agency.
Wanna’s office will cater to the educational needs of the surrounding areas, including Dera Ismail Khan and Tank.
Educational facilities of the university will help local people joint national mainstream.
The AIOU has already decided to provide free education to the people of FATA at Matric level.
