AJK Development Agreement Reviewed in Islamabad Meeting

Islamabad: Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan, and SAFRON Engineer Amir Muqam chaired a meeting in Islamabad today to review the implementation status of the agreement with the Joint Awami Action Committee of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. During the meeting, he expressed satisfaction over the progress and directed all concerned departments to further speed up the implementation work. Engineer Amir Muqam stated that Azad Jammu and Kashmir is a top priority of the Prime Minister and providing relief to the people is a collective responsibility of the federal and AJK governments.

According to Radio Pakistan, Engineer Amir Muqam assured that, in line with the Prime Minister’s instructions, full and effective implementation of the agreement with the Joint Action Committee would be ensured. Officials from relevant ministries and departments briefed the meeting on the steps taken so far, while the Chief Secretary Azad Kashmir shared a detailed update on the implementation process.
