AJK Legislative Assembly continues debate on budget

AJK Legislative Assembly continued general debate on budget for fiscal year 2018-19 today.

Taking part in the discussion, the members lauded the government for giving 15 km long roads in each constituency of the state.

Sagheer Chughtai, Shazia Akbar, Raja Muhammad Sadique, Wiqar Ahmad Noor, Abdula Majid Khan and Barister Iftikhar Gilani thanked the federal government for generous release of funds and enhancing of development budget of sate from eleven billion to 25.50 billion rupees.

Minister Wiqar Ahmad Noor said projects under CPEC will bring an industrial revolution in the state. He said power, health and other sectors will get sufficient allocations.

He said spending 130 million rupees to provide basic facilities to the people living along LOC will mitigate their sufferings to some extent.

Education Minister Barrister Iftikhar Gilani while taking part in the discussion said reforms are being introduced in education with implementation of NTS, segregation of administrative and teaching cadres, launching of bio-metric system, meeting of missing facilities in schools, equipping of labs and training of teachers.
