Aneeq Ahmad emphasizes religious harmony for peace in country

Caretaker Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony Aneeq Ahmad says protection of the minorities is among the top most priorities of the government because Islam teaches respect for all religions.

Addressing a news conference in Lahore on Saturday, he emphasized the need to promote inter-faith harmony for peace in the country.

He said desecration of Holy Quran and Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) is utterly unacceptable and intolerable.

In response to a question, he said the government is formulating a new Hajj policy.
