APHC AJK concerned about rights abuse in IOK

Islamabad, January 17, 2014 (PPI-OT): The All Parties Hurriyet Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chapter (APHC-AJK) has expressed concern over the continued violations of human rights by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.

The APHC-AJK at a meeting chaired by its Convener, Syed Yousuf Naseem in Islamabad, today, denounced the unprovoked firing by Indian army on the Line of Control.

The leaders condemned the illegal detention of Hurriyet leaders and activists and urged the world human rights organizations to take notice of the matter. The meeting decided to observe India’s Republic Day on January 26 as black day. A sit-in will be staged outside the UNMOG Office in Islamabad on that day.

Those who attended the meeting included Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Manzoor-ul-Haq Butt, Shaikh Mohammad Yaqoob, Mir Tahir Masood, Hassan al-Bana, Nisar Mirza, Abdul Majeed Malik, Altaf Ahmad Butt, Khadim Hussain, Abdullah Gilani, Abdul Mateen, Mohammad Shafi Dar and Khawaja Nazir Ahmad.
