APHC Asserts ‘Freedom from India’ is Every Kashmiri’s Dream

Srinagar, The All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) has proclaimed that achieving freedom from India remains the universal aspiration of Kashmiris, who have endured decades of what it describes as state terrorism and political disenfranchisement under Indian rule in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas articulated the organization’s stance in a statement issued in Srinagar, attributing the heightened tension in the region to the rise of the BJP/RSS’s Hindutva ideology. Minhas highlighted the enduring Kashmir conflict as a primary source of instability in South Asia, emphasizing its international dimensions and the necessity for a resolution that respects Kashmiri self-determination.

The statement further criticized the Indian government’s suppressive tactics in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), noting that dissenters and critics of the BJP’s policies are routinely targeted with arrests and prosecuted under severe laws. The APHC’s commentary underscores a broader condemnation of India’s governance in the region, asserting that the situation extends beyond a mere bilateral dispute with Pakistan.

The APHC has appealed to the international community and the United Nations to intervene and facilitate a resolution to the Kashmir issue that aligns with the wishes of its people, advocating for their right to self-determination and an end to their longstanding grievances.
