APHC Expresses Gratitude to Pakistan Army Chief for Support in Kashmir

Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference and other Hurriyat leaders have expressed their gratitude to Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir for his recent address honoring the sacrifices of those martyred for the Kashmir cause. During his speech, General Munir reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering relationship with Kashmir and expressed support for the region’s future as part of Pakistan.

According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, General Munir’s remarks were made during a gathering in Muzaffarabad on Kashmir Solidarity Day. He emphasized the unbreakable bond between Kashmir and Pakistan, asserting that the future of Kashmir lies with Pakistan.

The spokesman for the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, highlighted the importance of General Munir’s address in advocating for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute to ensure peace in South Asia. The spokesman praised the army chief’s comments on India’s temporary oppression in occupied Kashmir, noting that it cannot last indefinitely.

Separately, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party’s advocate, Arshad Iqbal, thanked the government and people of Pakistan for their steadfast support of the Kashmiri struggle for self-determination.

Various Hurriyat leaders and parties used the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day to convey a message to India that the Kashmiri people are supported by the entire population of Pakistan. They urged India to engage in a dialogue to resolve the longstanding dispute in accordance with UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. The leaders also reminded the international community of its commitment to hold a plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir, allowing the people to determine their political future.
