Arrival of senior officers of UK Home Office from British High Commission Islamabad to Central Police Office

Lahore, June 08, 2023 (PPI-OT): A six-member delegation led by the International Director of the UK Home Office, Asim Hafeez, visited the Central Police Office and met senior officers of the Punjab Police. The delegation from British High Commission Islamabad included First Secretary Ms. Maired Bree and Second Secretary Ms. Melissa Grant, Criminal Justice Advisor Benjamin Watson, DIG Hussain Habib Imtiaz Gul and other officers. British officers were briefed on the latest IT projects and reforms of the Punjab Police and discussed issues of mutual interest in detail.

Additional IG Special Branch Zulfiqar Hameed and Additional IG Establishment Raja Rafat Mukhtar briefed the delegation about the working and field formations of Punjab Police. DIGIT Ahsan Younis briefed the British delegation about the police dashboard and advanced applications. The British delegation was also given a visit to the martyrs of the Punjab Police and other parts of the CPO, including Ghaziwal. At the end of the visit, commemorative souvenirs were also exchanged between the head of the British delegation and the Additional IG Special Branch.
