Assistance from South Korea for the flood victims in Pakistan

Islamabad: The Embassy of Pakistan, under the guidance of the Ambassador of Pakistan to South Korea, His Excellency Shaukat Ali Mukadam, has started intensive efforts to collect assistance for the flood affectees in Pakistan.

Following repeated meetings by the Ambassador with the official of the Government Republic of Korea including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MOFAT), the Government Republic of Korea has agreed to provide the following assistance, valued at around US $ 200,000.

1. Tents

2. Blankets

3. Water purifiers

These items are being dispatched soon by air from South Korea to Pakistan. Further efforts for more assistance are continuing including extensive contacts with the South Korea citizens, Pakistani community, Universities and different organizations in the country.
